This role is remote — the markets are where we are actively recruiting.
You already coordinate people, navigate high-stakes conversations, and advocate for what's actually right for someone. That's most of what good life insurance consulting looks like. This is a 100% remote, commission-based 1099 role with The Wood Agency.
What you'll actually do
- Contact prospective clients and schedule one-on-one coverage conversations
- Ask the right questions to understand each family's financial situation and goals
- Explain how indexed universal life products can help families build long-term value
- Help clients complete applications and follow them through underwriting
- Stay with families past the sale — The Wood Agency serves through benefit claims, not just sign-up
- Mentor newer agents if you choose to build a team; your pay comes from your own client sales
Who this is a fit for
- Charge nurses, unit coordinators, case managers, or healthcare supervisors ready to leave shift work
- People used to translating complicated information into plain language for someone who needs to make a real decision
- Someone who can work independently — no one tracking your hours, no daily check-ins required
- Currently unlicensed applicants willing to obtain a state life insurance license before selling
- Self-directed people who stay disciplined without being managed

The honest part
